There is not a high demand for treadmills that have integrated CD players for music. MP3  players are the new trend. Treadmills with integrated audio systems typically provide an audio in source that will allow you to connect any device with a headphone jack.

If you do see mention of a CD player in treadmill marketing materials, it is usually for data/program CDs. Some of the higher end treadmills have virtual personal trainer features. The virtual trainer program is loaded from a data CD. The programs will control the speed and incline of the treadmill. Some virtual trainers may include the voice of a virtual trainer to help motivate you through the workout.
